以PDA建構輕航機導航與監控系統

A Method to Design Integrated Display System for Lightweight Airplane by Using PDA

摘要


現代的輔助飛行設備已今非昔比,飛行員利用機上的導航儀表及地面的導向電台,可以達到自動飛行與導航的效果。但是輕型機由於經費與空間所限,無法安裝導航及災害警告系統,因此嚴重影響飛安。有鑑於此,本文提出利用GPS(Global Positioning System)結合無線通訊系統並以掌上型電腦爲設計平台形成之攜帶型航空資訊顯示系統以增進輕型機的飛行安全。此系統乃將控制、通訊、計算機之科技整合與應用,且以飛行航圖爲依據,提供導航、避碰、氣象顯示等多項功能,其開發之成品可使用於各型飛行器,成爲飛行員最重要的導航工具及災害警告系統,以確保飛機在正確的航線上飛行,而不致發生偏離航道、撞山或飛機之間的碰撞等災害。

The lightweight airplanes are often used for agriculture, rescue and entertainments, but are difficult to be equipped with avionics equipments due to space, power and cost. This paper proposes a design to combine wireless communication, GPS and display into a system by using a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant), that will largely reduce power consumption, weight, price and enhance the safety of flight for lightweight airplanes. This system will have the capability of medium-range communication for low altitude airplanes by GSM (Group Special Mobile) system and of short-range communication for high altitude airplanes by UHF/VHF systems. The display messages also include 3D terrain information and local weather information for the pilots.
