The research was designed as a quasi-experimental study. Three hundred and forty-four breast-feeding puerperas were recruited from a teaching hospital. According to whether adopting the Rooming-1n Care for the newborn babies, the subjects were divided into experimental and control groups. The purposes were to learn whether the Rooming-in care was related to the subjects’ emotional disturbance during first week and first month after delivery, and their feeding methods one month after delivery. The results showed: (1) There were no relationships between the Rooming-in Care and the subjects ‘ concerns about the factors “ whether breast-feeding caused disadvantage of mother and baby” , and “ whether the baby could get good quality and quantity of human milk” during first week and first month after delivery; (2) The subjects who adopted the Rooming-in care for the babies were less concerned about the factor “whether she can feed her baby smoothly”; (3) The Rooming-in Care was not related to the puerperas’ feeding methods one month after delivery; (4) There were significant relationships between the subjects ‘ emotional disturbance and their one-month-after-delivery feeding methods.
