The Purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between hope, social support and demography of hospitalized patients with hemolymph neoplasm. These data were collected with convenience sampling method from 75 hemolymph neoplasm patients and 75 general patients (control group). The Herth Hope Index and Personal Resource Questionnaire 85 Part II were used as tools. The results showed that: (1) five independent variables (age, educational level, employment status, economic status and social support) correlated with hope grade. (2) The hope score of patients with hemolymph neoplasm was lower than that of the general hospitalized patients. In conclusion, nurses should enhance hemolymph neoplasm patients' hope grade to cope with helplessness and fear during the period of treatment.
