甘藷澱粉試量產生質酒精開發

Pilot Test-Bioethanol from Starch of Sweet Potato

摘要


生質酒精(Bioethanol)係指以糖質、澱粉質或纖維質等生質為料源,利用微生物醱酵而得,可摻配適當比例於石化汽油中,為汽車動力來源。甘藷栽種容易,生育期短、適應性廣,安定性高、可機械化採收,且富有澱粉質,為良好的能源作物,農委會已於2006年公告甘藷為台灣生質酒精料源之能源作物。本研究以甘藷澱粉為料源,建立利用酵素進行液化及糖化之最適化條件,使成為濃醪,以提高醱酵速度,降低污染的機會。同時利用2噸醱酵槽,採取饋料-批次醱酵方式進行生質酒精試量產。結果顯示,甘藷澱粉糖化效率高於93%,利用此高固形物含量之糖化膠,醱酵生產酒精濃度可達12.5%(wt%),糖轉化酒精效率達92%。未來將持續進行醱酵最適化條件之探討,降低澱粉前處理成本、減少部分耗能,回用酵母菌體與利用醱酵廢液,以降低生產成本。

Bioethanol is produced by the fermentation of sugar-based, starch-based, or cellulosic renewable materials, and is currently blended into gasoline as a source of green fuel. With many merits such as higher content of starch, short cultivation period, mechanical harvest, and good adaptation to environments, The Council of Agriculture, Taiwan, took the sweet potato as the target crop for bioethanol in 2006, and will promote it's plantation in different areas around Taiwan in the future. This article was intended to evaluate the pilot study of liquefaction, saccharification and fermentation, using the commercial starch of sweet potato as raw material and conducting the experiments in the 2 kL fermentors. Enzymatic liquefaction and saccharification was investigated to obtain higher sugars content in the broth, and then fermentation was carried out by fed-batch to produce high yield of 12.5 (w/w)% ethanol. Both conversions for saccharification and fermentation were 93% and 92%, respectively. In order to reduce the production cost, the production steps such as pretreatment of raw material, recycle of yeast and the utilization of stillage will be reexamined in the future.
