Liquid-Liquid Extraction Aromatics Recovery Technology Revamped as Extractive Distillation Process

摘要


萃取蒸餾技術應用在芳香烴回收具有節能與投資成本降低的益處。台灣中油公司與美國AMT公司成功地將高雄廠第五芳香烴工場液液萃取製程更新為萃取蒸餾製程,並完成全球第一套以萃取蒸餾技術回收六碳烴~八碳烴的全域進料中的芳香烴的商業化生產測試。這個更新的工場同時也示範兩座環丁碸為溶劑的萃取蒸餾塔的串聯操作。因此,這個開發成功的技術不但可應用在新建造的工場也可修改現存的環丁碸液液萃取製程。從操作的數據顯示,萃取蒸餾技術比液液萃取可節省約10~15%能耗。

The benefits of recovering aromatics by extractive distillation are the reduction of energy consumption and that of investment cost. CPC Corporation and AMT Inc. successfully transformed the liquid-liquid extraction process of the fifth Aromatics Unit in Kaohsiung Refinery into an extractive distillation process to recover aromatics from the full-ranged C6~C8 pygas. This world-leading revamped process has passed the commercial production test run. The demonstration of two sulfolane-based connected extractive distillation columns operation has been shown as well. Therefore, this new process for aromatics recovery can be readily implemented by revamping existing sulfolane solvent extraction facilities, or constructing new ones. Compared to LLE process, the operational data showed that the ED process has about 10~15% energy saving.
