Static pile loading test using standard cyclic loading method is a time consuming work which may last for several days. The newly developed equipment presented in this paper consists three parts: driving system, measuring system and micro- processor system. The new test needs one person only to operate the computer controlled system and key in requiring data, load and time duration, for each cycle, and the test will run automatically. Using this method, the reading error and time lag for loading and unloading process happened during conventional test can simply be avoided.
