數位時代圖書館功能及角色的變遷

摘要

當電腦及網路服務默化深入人們生活中，圖書館作為知識儲存與管理的機構，原有的角色與功能不斷面臨挑戰，本文為釐清圖書館未來的發展方向，由傳統圖書館的功能與價值談起，並整理文獻所述關於圖書館功能與角色變遷的觀點，試論數位圖書館應扮演的新功能與新任務，最後提出圖書館角色的重新定位，並歸納為結論。

Being the institution for knowledge preservation and management, libraries have been continuously experiencing rapid changes when computers and network services gradually become the norm of modem lifestyles. In view of such a shift, this paper attempts to explicate functions and values of the traditional role of libraries first and then to summarize historical viewpoints of the evolution of libraries up to the modem times. This research demonstrates a reorientation of the role of libraries and proposes new responsibilities and tasks thus entailed.
