Acute myocardial infarction with preceding infection has been reported before but the exacl mechanism is not clear. We described a case who demonstrated an example how infection may relate to myocardial infarction. A young female suffered from acute myocardial infarction with concomitant urinary tract infection. Transient total occlusion of left anterior descending artery with spontaneous recanalization occurred during coronary angiography. It was supposed due to transient thrombosis or spasm. Clinical recovery was good and patient lived uneventfully thereafter.
