從校護觀點探討校園遊戲場安全

School Nurese's Perception of Playground Safety

摘要


目的:校園是兒童及青少年受教育和成長,養成完整人格的重要場所。校園遊戲場的意外事故就佔了因遊戲意外而就診案例的70%。本研究的目的是探討校園遊戲場的安全和改進之措施。 方法:我們針對新竹縣地區由縣政府教育局網路登錄的10所幼稚園、83所國小、30所國中資料,向各校的校園護士(簡稱校護)發出問卷。問卷中包含學生人數,一年期間學生受傷人數,住院人數以及死亡人數,意外事故發生記錄的期間為1999年7月1日至2000年6月30日。另外也對遊戲場的設備以及安全措施作調查並加以評估,校園遊戲場安全評估共10個項目,每項為0或1分(安全=0,危險=1)。 結果:共發出123份問卷,回收78份問卷,問卷回收率平均63%。學生人數大多分佈於100-500人 (42/78,54%) ,受傷人數1-24人/年為最多(29/78,37%),有1死亡個案。危險分數平均4.3分。其中最嚴重的問題為兒童或青少年進行遊戲時有監督者僅佔9%(7/78)。 結論:建議校園遊戲場的安全應由以下四點方向努力: (l)安全防護觀念加強及危機處理能力之養成; (2)校園遊戲場遊戲設備安全方面的改良;(3)校園遊戲場安全的監督; (4)急救知識普及知識加強等方面逐步落實。

Background: Play activities are important to the development of good healthy and personality of children. Many playground injuries have been reported each year. The purpose of the study was to evaluate unsuitable and potentially dangerous equipments of the school playgrounds in Taiwan. Methods: A questionnaire was distributed to the school nurses at 10 kindergartens, 83 elementary schools, and 30 junior high schools, this was acquired via the web site of the Department of Education of the Hsinchu County, northern Taiwan. Basic data of the schools, the number of injuries, the number of hospital admissions as well as the mortalities between July 1, 1999 and June 30, 2000 were all collected in the questionnaire. In addition, the safety of the facilities of the playground was also investigated, which was based on 10 categories. Each category was given a score of 0 or 1 (safe=0, dangerous=1). Results: The questionnaires were sent to 123 nurses registered with the Hsinchu School Nurse Society, and 78 questionnaires were returned. The response rate was 63%. The majority of schools had 100~500 students (42/78, 54%). The greatest number of injured students was 1-24 persons per year (28/78, 37%). There was I mortality case. The average score for playground safety was 4.3 among these participating schools. The most severe problem was the absence of supervision during playtime (91%). Conclusions: We have 4 suggestions for improving the playground safety of schools as follows: (1) increase education on injury prevention, (2) improve equipment presentation and maintenance, (3) ensure adequate supervision, and (4) create the ability for emergent management of injuries problems.
