摘要

方天(1902-1991)將軍從小在農村長大，從軍之後，參與攸關國家存亡的多次戰役。方將軍在國共鬥爭艱困之際(1948)，獲任為江西省主席；國民政府播遷來台後，亦曾擔負重大的復員任務，然最後則默默無聞而終。其一生行誼典範之處甚多，堪為後人追思與效法。筆者得識方天將軍，實緣於其最小千金及女婿係本人之深交摯友。基此之故，對方將軍聽聞頗多外，亦敬佩其廉潔的操守、剛正不阿的性格。是以不揣疏漏，就所得資料簡述其傳略，除藉以追思之外，並期人們引為效法。

General Tien Fang grows up in countryside, and he participates many critical national combats after join the military. He was chairman of Jiangxi province during the civil war against communist party. Feng takes on missions for recovery, but he dies without any honor. The model through his life has become the pattern for next generations. Author gets to know Tien Fang in person because Feng's youngest daughter and her husband are very closed to the author. Based on these informations, the author writes for memorial and hope people can follow his spirit.
