Determining the Location of a Baffle for Reducing the Liquid Slosh of a Rectangular Tank

摘要


本研究探討矩形容器內放置單一隔板以降低液體振盪時此隔板放置之決定,容器內之水深及隔板高度固定,改變隔板在容器內之縱向放置位置,探討其放置位置對降低液體振盪效果之影響。本研究以實驗及單擺振盪模式模擬液體於容器內之振盪並作數值模擬分析探討隔板之較佳放置位置,研究結果顯示隔板放置於矩形容器之中央位置或其附近時其降低液體振盪之效果較佳。

This study presents the determination of the baffle position along the tank for effectively reducing the slosh of the liquid in a rectangular container. A single pendulum model for illustrating the better choice of the baffle position is taken in this research. Also, experiments are carry out by varying the baffle heights and locations of the baffle positions along the tank to investigate the better location of the baffle. Experimental results confirm the single-pendulum model as the liquid slosh in a rectangular container. Results of this research show that the better position for reducing liquid slosh is to position the baffle at or around the center of the tank.
