Design and Development of LED Heat Sink Structure

摘要


隨著科技演進,LED儼然成為照明的新星。包括指示標誌、戶外照明、室內照明、間接照明…等。由於LED的快速發展,全球產值也飛快的提升。到2009年為止,全球LED產值約2,400億台幣,其中我國約佔654億台幣。預計2012年我國產值將達1,000億以上!LED壽命與效能受到溫度影響極大,每10度升溫就會使壽命減半。目前LED的製造材料尚無突破性的發展,因此無法從原料端克服升溫問題,因此,如何透過散熱模組等之設計來降低溫度,提高效能,就成為關鍵所在。本研究對LED鋁合金擠型散熱模組作為研究標的,進行分析與設計,同時實際擠製設計之散熱模組,並與市售模組進行功能比較。結果發現,本研究設計之散熱模組可有效提高散熱能力,降低LED之溫度,同時提升其使用壽命。

Because of the progress of technologies, LED becomes the shinning star of illumination. The applications include signs, outdoor illumination, indoor illumination, indirect illumination and so on. Because of its rapid development, the global production value increase, too. Until 2009, the global production value of LED is about 240 billion NT dollars. Taiwan’s share rate is 65.4 billion NT dollars, and it is predicted to be more than 100 billions till 2012.Life and performance of LED is affected by temperature greatly. The life reduce 1/2 every 10 degree of temperature increase. Until now, there is no astonishing development on LED material. It means we can’t overcome the temperature problem from material side. Thus, how to extract the heat by means of heat sink module, frame, and so on to increase the performance is the key of LED.In this study, LED heat sink made by aluminum extrusion is researched and the real heat sink is designed and compared with the standard vending product. The results show that our design increases the capability of extracting the heat and the LED temperature, and is helpful for the life.
