Haiyuan Bibliotheca, owned by Yizeng Yang from Shandong Province, is one of the four largest bibliotheca in the late Qing Dynasty. Mr. Yizeng Yang, also named Zhitang Yang, was a ministerial official who loved collecting books. He also wrote quite a number of letters, corresponding with other government officials and scholars. Among them, his letters corresponding with Han Xu, also named Yinlin Xu, is most valuable, which mainly discussed issues in regards to publishing and printing at that time. Some of these letters are briefly introduced and annotated in this paper.
