艾伯林氏藝術四要素說及其從藝術到文學的調整
Theory of Four Elements of Art Made by Abrams and its Adjusted from Art to Literature
摘要
本文是作者探討傳播心理與民間文學關係系列論文中的第一篇。其第二篇名為〈從藝術、傳播要素看民間文學〉，已於「2011海峽兩岸民俗暨民間文學學術研討會」發表（桃園，南亞技術學院，2011年12月18日）。艾伯林氏《鏡與燈》中所謂藝術作品四要素之說，學界多有採擷引用；其所以影響廣遠，實由此說與傳播模式頗有類似之處，因此不只可以用來觀察藝術與文學現象，而是舉凡人間知識或一般訊息之傳遞溝通，都可以此說為解。本文並不涉及傳播問題，而是先將艾氏在《鏡與燈》和《以文行事》二書中提到的四要素說做一梳理，並及於四要素說之影響等問題。
