Aerosol and fomite transmission of SARS-CoV-2 is possible, since the virus can remain infectious in aerosols for hours. This dangerous situation exists, especially, during the intubation and extubation of patients with COVID-19. However, many modalities used for difficult airway management are not suitable for use during the current pandemic. Herein, we report on the dilemma and our experience with difficult airway management in a patient with COVID-19.
