Paragangliomas of head and neck are rare tumors that occur sporadically with the prevalence of about 1 in 30,000 of head and neck tumors. The treatment of choice is often surgical resection for most paragangliomas. Postoperative irradiation may be beneficial in slowing the progression of residual disease. We reported a case of paraganglioma of head and neck with the treatment of surgery plus postoperative irradiation and reviewed the literatures of paraganglioma.
