Children's poetry in Taiwan has not disappeared in the book market, yet it remains insignificant. Though poets are persistent in poetry-making, it is not easy to publish a volume. Material for research is therefore insufficient to a great degree. This paper hence tries to explore the expression forms of children's poetry collection in order to probe into the creativity of writing, and to examine the publishing mode in recent Taiwan. Starting with Foreword, this paper consists of five parts, including (1) Poems into Collection, (2) Poems into Fable, (3) Poems into Fairytale, (4) Poems into Picture Book, (5) Poems into Novel, then ends with Conclusion. Looking into the classical and modern works with regard to the publishing facts, this paper aims to examine the weight and the connection between the text and the illustration in children's poetry collection. How the verses are developed into narrative, namely fable, picture book, fairytale and novel will also be explored.
