Yun Duo (1969-), an academic scholar and poet, has actively pursued accomplishments in the two fields of her expertise. This paper probes into Yun Duo's poetic views, her aesthetics of creation, and the image of flowers in her poetic collection The Country of Rose. The title of the book features a flower, and this paper explores how the poet uses flowers as the medium for the expansion and transmission of her creative images, among which the rose reigns supreme. In analyzing the significance and inner emotions that the poet seeks to convey, this paper deals with the allusions, the theme of love, youth, the bygone days, and rebirth, arguing that Yun Duo highlights the diversity of her creative skills and the particularity of her emotions through the various interplays of different forms and the expression of different levels of poetic exhibition.
