摘要

本文指出開放多元的社會中，價值、認同的衝突是難以避免的現象，與其譴責或遺憾，不如正視它，視其為常態，進而思考如何正確因應。公民教育在培養學生價值選擇、獨立思考、道德推理，建立互動規範上責無旁貸，社會價值愈混亂，公民教育愈顯重要。本文首先澄清後現代社會認同政治的本質，接著分析台灣認同衝突的情況，最後以國家認同為例，說明一種開放、自由、多元、反思的公民教育的可能性。

This paper points out value conflicts or identity conflicts are inevitable in an open and democratic society. Civic education aims to teach students the ability of independent thinking, moral reasoning and the skills to participate a public life. It becomes more and more important clearly. In this paper, the author clarifies the nature of ”politics of identity” in a post-modem society first, and then explains the importance of civic education and its function to reduce conflicts. Finally, taking national identity as example, the author develops a curriculum of civic education, which could be helpful in resolving the identity conflicts faced by our society.
