The ethical controversies in sports, as sports become one of prosperous and profitable activities in our societies gradually, have grown to be crucial and tangling. However, as most physical educators are convinced, the significance of moral education through sports was satisfactory and will still be prospective. Thus, it is worthwhile re-examining our sports and P.E. programs and re-discovering ethical meaning in sports experience. The major concerns of this paper are, first of all, the distinction of the inconsistency between sports and competition, secondly, the clarification of the concept and process of sports man ship and moral education, thirdly, the contribution of sports experience to morality. It is the belief of the writer that morality can't be approached through merely behavorial training, nor is it correct that sports are moral-oriented activities. It is only through the actor's intention and moral conviction that behavior becomes meaningful and sports become value-oriented.
