The purpose of this study was to select the representative tests of heptathlon athletes in The First World Championship in Athletics. Based on the record table published, the study adopted its total 7 items, 19 heptathlon athletes were used as subjects. The Wherry-Doolittle test selection method was used to select the tests of the battery analytically. The author obtained the following results:
一、19 heptathlon athletes
All 7 items were selected, they are as follows regularly:
㈠ 200m Run(2)
㈡Javelin(5)
㈢800m Run(3)
㈣High jump(7)
㈤Long jump(6)
㈥Shot put(4)
㈦100m H.(4)
The statistics show that the validity coefficients between 7 selected and all 7 items is 0.9841. The regression equation for prediction the criterion form the seven selected tests in written in standard deviation score form by means of formula as follows:
