The purpose of the research is to study the factors of beauty appreciation concept of students in university and institute when considering ”Ballroom Dancing” and ”Folk Dancing”. The schools selected for the research are Taiwan University, Soochow University, Oriental Institute of Technology and Chih Lee Commercial College, from which 396 students were selected as the object of study. The investigation result has been analyzed by Principle-Factor Solution method leading to the following conclusion: 1. The conceptual factor of the students in University and institute considering Ballroom Dancing are the five factors of ”Graceful” ”Distinctive” ”Social intercourse” ”Splendid” and ”Cheerful” among which the factor ”Graceful” makes the strongest impression on the students. 2. The conceptual factor of the students in University and institute concerning ”Folk Dancing” are the six factors of ”Elegant Atmosphere” ”Distinctive” ”Graceful” ”Romantic” and ”Great” among which the factor ”Elegant Atmosphere” makes the strongest impression on the students. 3. There are distinct differences of conceptual factor of students between Ballroom Dancing and Folk Dancing [P<0.1], it is obvious from the average value that they much prefer Ballroom Dancing to Folk Dancing. 4. In point of view concerning Ballroom Dancing and Folk Dancing. There is no difference between male and female. 5. Comparison of the group who took Dancing as an elective course and the group who did not take Dancing as an elective course has shown a distinct difference concerning both Ballroom Dancing [P<0.1] and Folk Dancing [P<0.5].
