本研究目的在編製一份適合國內使用的兒童身體自我概念量表。本研究分二階段,第一階段受試者為364名國民小學學童,受試者在教室的情境中以團體施測方式塡答63題的兒童身體自我概念量表初稿。所得資料經探索性因素分析顯示本量表具有外表、柔軟度、耐力、彈力、肥胖、力量六個穩定的因素共32題。第二階段以另外399名學童為受試者來塡答32題的兒童身體自我概念量表,二階驗性因素分析的適合度指標顯示兒童身體自我概念量表修正後的測量模式符合實徵的資料,顯示量表具有良好的建構效度。定稿的兒童身體自我概念量表共29題,内部一致性信度介於.6446~.9154之間,三週重測信度介於.6617~.8883之間。本研究結果顯示兒童身體自我概念量表具有建構效度與信度,可提供國內研究者在測量兒童身體自我概念上使用。
The purpose of this study was to develop an inventory which assess children's physical self-concept. Two stages were involved in this. In the first stage, 364 elementary school students were asked to complete the 63-item Children's Physical Self-Concept Inventory. The results of exploratory factor analysis revealed that CPSCI contains six stable factors: physical appearance, flexibility, endurance, explosion, fat, and strengh. In the second stage, another 399 elementary school students were asked to fill out the 32-item CPSCI. The results of the second-order confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the measures of overall fit for the modified six-factor structure of the29-item CPSCI was acceptable. The results revealed that the CPSCI is a valid and reliable instrument which can be provided to assess the elementary school students' physical self-concept.
