以3D腳型資料建立我國成人之腳型表面積估算式

Establishment of Estimation Formula of Foot Surface Areas Using 3D Foot Scans

摘要


本研究的目的是以3D腳型表面資料來建立我國成年人腳型表面積的估算公式。人體的腳型表面積(Foot Surface Area,FSA)在醫療和工業安全等方面都是相當重要的參考資料。其估算方式可以用比例值推估法和公式估算法二種方式求得,其中以公式估算法較為簡便又不失精確。以往的研究中,最普遍的估算公式是Du Bois & Du Bois利用腳長、腳掌圍和腳踝圍3個1D腳型尺寸來估算腳型表面積的公式。為了簡化估算公式,本研究希望能夠以較少的尺寸(由腳長、腳掌圍、腳踝圍當中選取)來估算腳型表面積,同時又不失其估算準確性。本研究隨機抽取100位樣本,以3D腳型掃描儀量測其腳型,透過TriD軟體來萃取出腳型表面積、腳長、腳掌圍以及腳踝圍的尺寸值。接著先針對三個1D腳型尺寸值進行迴歸分析,找出是否有單一尺寸對腳型表面積的變異解釋能力可以達到95%以上。如果有,就選擇為最重要的估算尺寸;如果沒有,則以(1)兩個一組,和(2)三個一組的方式再分別進行迴歸,找出這些組合對腳型表面積的估算能力。同時,也評估此估算公式是否會因性別而有所影響。研究結果以腳長和腳掌圍二者的組合為最佳,其迴歸方程式(FSA=1.051×腳長×腳掌圍)可解釋97.7%的腳型表面積變異。因此在估算準確性可接受的水準之下,本研究建議可使用腳長與腳掌圍二個1D尺寸所建立的這個公式來估算腳型表面積。

The purpose of this study is to establish a foot surface area (FSA) estimation formula based on 3-D foot scans. FSA is important for many applications, including medicine and industrial hygiene. There are two methods of estimating FSA: percentage and formulas. The formulas are both simpler and more accurate. A hundred subjects were recruited from a random sample to scan their right foot with a 3-D foot scanner. Foot length (FL), foot ball girth (BG), and ankle girth (AG) were extracted from the scans, and the FSA was computed using the triangular summation method by TriD software. These three 1-D measurements were regressed respectively on FSA. If any single measurement was able to explain more than 95% of the variance in FSA, then that measurement was chosen; if not, these three measurements would be analyzed using (1) combinations of two measurements and (2) all three measurements together. Foot length and ball girth were good predictors of FSA with high values of R2. The effect of gender on the formula was also evaluated. This study concluded that the estimation formula of FSA=1.051×FL×BG yields an R2 of 0.977 when estimating FSA in the total population.
