摘要

黃兆強教授所著《清人元史學探研—清初至清中葉》一書，以邵遠平、錢大昕、汪輝祖、趙翼等清代史學家的元史著作為焦點，對清人元史學之研究做了深入的剖析和整理。在筆者看來，黃教授此書除了填補了學界研究的空白之外，還有其更深遠的價值，即樹立史家研究的一個高標和典範，實現「才、學、識」的融合統一。在才學方面，黃教授展示了其爐火純青的語言技巧、宏觀而精細的結構設計能力、淵博的史學知識和深厚的文獻考證功力；在史識方面，黃教授對史家思想進行了深入分析，提出了自己獨特的見解，並創造性提出了「學術經世」、「史膽」、「史情」等概念。這一切使之成為臺灣學界史學研究之代表作。

Professor Wong Siu-keung's book, Yuan Historiography by Qing Scholars-From Early Qing to Mid-Qing Dynasty, not only fills in the blanks of the related history research, but also sets an example which unites historical ability, knowledge, and insight. As for the historical ability and knowledge, Professor Wong shows his skilled language ability, grand and meticulous ability in structure design, broad and profound historical knowledge, and deep research skill in literature. As for the historical insight, Professor Wong deeply studies the thoughts of historians and provides his own points of view, such as the concepts of ”statecraft”, ”historical courage,” and ”historical empathy and compassion”. All of these make Professor Wong's work as one of the major researches in Taiwan.
