數位影像間接測量的準確度與精密度

摘要


隨著科技的進步,越來越多的臨床工作者應用數位攝影影像在病例紀錄、病例討論、疾病分類與治療計劃上,本研究的主要目的在於評估在數位影像上作間接測量的準確度與精密度。研究的方法是將三十一個研究個案全身麻醉後,於臉上標示十四個標記,直接測量與間接從數位影像上測量八個線性距離與一個角度後加以分析比較。研究結果顯示從正面影像取得的數據比較側面影像取得的數據來的可靠。將二維影像應用於三維物體的測量本身,其實都無法避免誤差的產生,因此雖然數位影像提供了一種簡單、方便、便宜的紀錄方式,在臨床上應用由數位影像所取得的測量數據時,都應該特別小心謹慎可能產生的誤差。

This study evaluated the accuracy and precision of digital photographic anthropometry. Measurements were obtained from frontal and lateral photographs of 31 study subjects; 13 males and 18 females. The photographs were digitized and displayed on a computer monitor. Fourteen conventional facial anthropometric landmarks were localized, and eight linear and one angular measurements were performed. Computer measurements and physical measurements were taken to provide a comparison, and all measurements were repeated. The measurement results revealed an intra-observer error from computer measurement on the frontal photographs to be below 5%. The error between the physical and computer measurement was under 10%. The measurements obtained from the lateral photographs were not as accurate. The study identified some potential hazards on digital photographic anthropometry on quantitative facial morphological evaluation, and thus digital photographic anthropometry should be applied cautiously.
