This study explored Puli residents' perceptions of the impacts of wine tourism and their attitudes regarding future wine tourism development. It was found that, based on what has occurred to now, Puli residents have positive perceptions of the economic, socio-cultural impacts and environmental impacts of wine tourism. As for future wine tourism development, they have positive attitudes toward proposed wine tourism district, more recreation & accommodation facilities, landscape preservation, better vender management but limited land and big-scale tourism development. This study suggests that to foster and maintain positive attitudes decision-makers must do economic, socio-cultural and environmental impact assessments for future wine tourism development to see that options that meet residents' expectations are considered and the best of these selected.
