T-shape? Integration? MBA+X? Networking? Future Trends of Hospitality Management Curriculum Design: Management Curriculum Experiences in Taiwan and China

摘要


T型人才,整合實踐課程,MBA+X及網絡交流計畫是目前臺灣與中國大陸四大頂尖管理學院課程設計規劃。管理教育是提升餐旅績效與培養觀光管理者的關鍵,耑此,本研究就臺灣現有餐旅研究所之課程進行調查,並由臺灣、美國及中國大陸三方合作深入探討管理學院課程設計趨勢對未來餐旅課程設計影響。商學院院長是課程規畫的核心人物,為此,本研究分別實地前往國立臺灣大學管理學院、國立成功大學管理學院、中國大陸北京大學光華管理學院與清華大學經濟管理學院進行院長層級深度訪談。本研究結果建議在發展T型人才前提下,未來餐旅課程設計可以:推行MBA+X,跨院跨系所課程設計,發展海外網絡交流學習,以及切入全世界即將興起的整合實踐教學。

In Taiwan and China, the leading management school curriculum designs focus on T-shape talents, integrated practicum projects, the MBA+X and masters network programs. Management education is the key factor to improve the performance and train the managers of the hospitality and tourism industry. In order to explore how the trends of management curriculum design influence the trends of the hospitality management curriculum, researchers from Taiwan, America, and China were invited to participate in the study. The study adopted the method of in-depth interviews. Business school deans are the change agents central to curriculum design. Four deans of graduate institutes of business in Taiwan (National Taiwan University and National Cheng Kung University) and China (Peking and Tsinghua University) were interviewed. The study suggests that in order to cultivate T-shape talents hospitality management curriculum design can adopt the MBA+X, inter-discipline curriculum design, develop networking and integrated practicum project.
