The COVID-19 pandemic has a major impact and effect on mandarin tour guides. This study aims to explore the job crafting of mandarin tour guides. In-depth interviews were conducted with 20 respondents. Following a rigorous content analysis of the results, this study referred to four major job crafting dimensions (Tims et al., 2012) to establish a classification framework of mandarin tour guides, Including: (1) increasing structural work resources: improve self-expression, operate an online community; (2) expanding social work resources: emotional support, tangible support; (3) enhancing challenging work demands: adjust work content, expand breadth of work ; and (4) decreasing work barriers: decreasing internal obstacles, decreasing external obstacles. The study concludes with managerial implications and suggestions for future research.
