菲華學校第二語言新教材教學研究

The Study of New Teaching Materials Based on Teaching Chinese as a Second Language in a Philippine Chinese School

摘要


菲華學校的華文教學牽涉正體中文在海外的生存問題。本研究探討2008至2010年的關鍵時刻,馬尼拉G華校改用台灣第二語言華語新教材的過程與成效。本研究首先探討G校導入新教材與輔導建立校本課程教案的過程,以及觀察紀錄G校實際進行校本課程教案的教學情形;其次,本研究發現全校教師使用新教材的整體滿意度達83.94%,其中幼稚園部的滿意度最高為90.85%,小學部次之為85.98%,中學部的滿意度為72.22%,但若僅分析教材配套完整的中學部第七冊滿意度,則滿意度提高到76.39%。新教材的九個問卷項目中,「圖片彩繪」滿意度最高是91.57%,其次「語法句型教學」滿意度是87.95%,再其次「漢字」與「新詞」教學都是86.75%,音樂CD與整體教學效果的滿意度都是84.34%。最後本研究比較兩種不同的兒童第二語言華語教材。整體而言,G校順利導入第二語言新教材。

The teaching of Chinese in Philippine Chinese schools raises the issue of whether traditional Chinese will survive overseas. This research explores the process and results of College G's adoption of the new teaching materials, ”Living Mandarin,” for teaching Chinese as a second language during the key period from 2008 to 2010. College G is a Chinese founded Christian school in the greater Manila area. First, the research documents the process of introducing new materials and the development of the teaching guide for 116 lessons. The research observes the practical use of the teaching guide in College G. Second, the study found that the overall rate of satisfaction of using the new materials for the school's teachers was 83.94%. The rate of satisfaction in Kindergarten was 90.85%. The rate of satisfaction in Elementary school was 86.98%. The middle school's satisfaction rate was 72.22%. But, if only the seventh grade's teaching materials were analyzed, the satisfaction rate was up to 76.39%. Of the nine categories on the survey of the teaching materials, ”picture drawing” had the highest rate of satisfaction with 91.57%, followed by ”grammar sentence pattern teaching” at a rate of 87.95%. Then were ”Chinese characters” and ”new vocabulary” with both having a rate of 86.75%. Next, ”music CD” and ”overall teaching assessment” were tied at 84.34%. Finally, This research compares two kinds of teaching Chinese as a second language materials for children. In summary, College G's adoption of the new materials was successful.
