圖書館員職業聲望及其前景之探究

摘要

本文主要在探討圖書館員職業，由中外圖書館員職稱之沿革、圖書館員核心的價值及其工作內容之變化，探討圖書館員職業之特性及職業聲望，筆者並依據近年來研究資料之結論，提出圖書館員未來之前景，期望國家及政府單位能確實依法任用專業館員，努力發展圖書館事業，提昇全民素質，進而提昇國家未來競爭力。

This article explores the profession of librarianship with the intention of giving those who are interested in engaging in this type of work an understanding of the position including a public evaluation of librarians, their job characteristics, professional prestige and an occupation outlook. The author also hopes that the country and government can appreciate the value of librarianship.
