摘要

王教授振鵠先生是圖書館學教育、研究及圖書館行政工作的圖書館學家。先生勤於研究，作育英才，借調公職，將圖書館學的新知專技引進圖書館教育及圖書館經營，又開創了圖書館服務的新猷，擴大了圖書館學研究的範圍，從而推展我國圖書館事業邁向新境界。

This article is a reflection of the instrumental role of Professor Chen-Ku Wang as an educator and as the National Central Library's administrator, depicting his contributions in researches, educating librarians, applying his knowledge and expertise in librarianship in managing the National Central Library during his temporary assignment as the Director-general of this library. It is also well described about how respectable Professor Wang dedicated himself in making aware of the importance of innovative library services and in advancing the librarianship research paradigm. This article concluded that Professor Wang's endeavor are of great importance in shaping the nowadays librarianship in Taiwan.
