Today, firms are facing a competitive and continuously changing situation. There is growing interest in innovation that allows the firm to improve its competitive position and performance. Human factors and human resource management are considered as key elements of successful innovation since the human element is involved in the whole innovation process. However, human resource management has been scarcely treated in studies on organizational innovation. Thus, the purpose of the study is to explore whether human resource management systems intervene the relationships between organizational innovation and organizational innovation. The samples of the study include 105 listed electronic firms in Taiwan. The empirical results provide evidence that human resource management systems contribute to the positive effects of organizational innovation on organizational performance.
