頭頸癌病人衛生教育及個案管理

Patient Health Education and Case Management in Head and Neck Cancer Patients

摘要


台灣地區頭頸癌是常見的癌症,頭頸癌病人具有多樣性及多元族群文化特性。然而,頭頸癌治療衝擊身心層面,需要多專業的合作及照護。因此,病人衛生教育在診斷期、治療期及存活期扮演重要的功能。病人教育可減輕焦慮、提升自信、服藥知識、自我接納及正向社交。臨床照護中若能充分運用個案管理師的角色功能,提供適當且符合病人教育水準的病人教育,可改善健康行為,使衛生教育發揮最大效益。

Head and neck cancers (HNCs) are common cancer in Taiwan. HNCs patients are diverse and include multi-ethnic population. Treatments for HNC may impact physical and psychological dimensions and thus require cooperation and care from multidisciplinary teams. Health education play an important role during the diagnostic, treatment, and survival periods. Patient education can decrease anxiety, promote self-esteem, increase knowledge, enhance self-acceptance, and create positive social interaction. In the clinical care setting, case managers can perform appropriate role and provide adequate education to patients. Patient education can improve patients' health behavior and generate the best treatment outcome.
