低成本航空策略聯盟之航線網路班次規劃

Low-Cost Airline Network Flight Frequency Planning in Response to Hybrid Low-Cost Airline Alliances

摘要


隨著全球航空市場競爭激烈,許多低成本航空公司開始發展成為混合型航空公司並建立策略聯盟關係。本研究針對混合型低成本航空公司聯盟模式進行探討,建立聯盟航線網路規劃模式。研究分別建構聯盟前個別低成本航空網路規劃模式與低成本航空聯盟之整合網路規劃模式,進行航線決策、班次與基本費率規劃問題發展與求解。透過互動式求解演算法,分析聯盟兩造之協商互動,並透過情境分析考慮航線市場中全服務航空因應低成本航空聯盟之競爭反應,探討低成本航空聯盟於平行式及互補式共用班號之最適聯盟航線決策與航線班次規劃。本研究透過數值應用範例,進行模式求解分析,探討低成本航空聯盟航線規劃協商與聯合成本降低策略之決策行為與策略管理意涵。

Low-cost carrier (LCC) plays an increasingly important role of the global air transportation industry. One current trend is that while international alliances among major airlines continue, some hybrid low-cost airlines have formed and some are now preparing for low-cost airline alliances. This study analyzes the hybrid low-cost airline alliance models and develops a series of models for determining LCC code-shared flight frequencies under airline network competition. The bargaining interactions between two partner–LCCs in a LCC alliance negotiation were taken into consideration. The LCC code-sharing involves partner LCCs individually maximizing their own profits, while mutually considering overall profitability, traffic gains, and cost reduction for the allied network in which they cooperate with their partners. A numerical example demonstrated the benefits of LCC alliances and the feasibility of applying the proposed models. Scenario analyses were also conducted and discussed. The results of this study explored the effects of LCC alliances on airfares, allied routes and route frequencies. In addition, it is envisaged that the results of this study may shed light on low-cost alliance strategies.
