宗教共同體與宗教大同的反思

摘要

近年來中國大陸宗教學術界討論「人類宗教共同體」此項議題甚囂塵上，已在大陸許多傳播媒體、學術期刊與出版專書上大肆報導與出現，業已形成當前宗教新思想爭辯的核心焦點。宗教共同體觀點強調今日各宗教信眾與教派能形成「多元通合」、「和而不同」、「和合共生」的「信仰機制」，此一信仰機制正是「宗教共同體」的制度設計，然而此一名詞概念引起學術上重大的爭辯。本文首先著重對「宗教共同體」概念與「宗教大同」內涵加以探討與反省，尤其針對「共同體」的意義深入分析，希望對此宗教議題能提供一項清晰的思路與解釋。本文認為學術界探討「共同體」概念已有完整的理論內涵，倘若「宗教共同體」只是強調「多元通合、和而不同，和合共生」等宗教理想、現象，或許吾人沿用古代先賢所述「大同」觀念，亦即以「宗教大同」概念取代「宗教共同體」一詞將更為貼切與適用。

Recently, ”human religious community” becomes a problematic issue in the religious academic circle in China and is also frequently cited by China mass media, academic journals, and published books, making it the debate focus of contemporary new religious thoughts. Human religious community which attracts great academic debate stresses on the ”belief mechanism” of ”plural union”, ”harmony with differences”, and ”coordinated symbiosis”, featuring the system design of ”religious community”. With a deep analysis of the meanings of ”community”, this paper firstly discusses and reflects on the meanings of ”religious community” and ”religious concord”, hoping to provide a clear thought and definition. The paper believes the ”community” concept has developed a complete academic theory. If the ”religious community” only puts an emphasis on religious ideals of ”plural union, harmony with differences, and coordinated symbiosis”, we may just adopt the ”da-tong” (concord) idea presented by ancient Chinese sages. In other words, it'll be more appropriate to substitute ”religious concord” for ”religious community”.
