摘要
因為結石清除及根面整平術在臨床上有其限制的所在，因此發展出多種的局部藥物緩慢釋出性系統試圖來取代或輔助SRP。本文回顧相關的文獻報告，綜合各種局部藥物緩慢釋出性系統（local drug delivery systems）的治療結果，期望能提供臨床醫師在臨床治療時做為參考。

Owing to the limitation of scaling and root planning (SRP) in periodontal therapy, local drug delivery systems have been developed to replace SRP or as adjunct to conventional therapy. This article reviews relevant literature reports, summarizing the treatment results of all kinds of local drug delivery systems and serving to enlighten clinicians the clinical management of using these systems.
