細胞凋亡之功能及調節與牙周病相關性之探討

Function and Regulation of Apoptosis in Periodontal Disease

摘要


細胞凋亡是生物體內維持生命程序的一個重要機制,生物藉由程式化的細胞死亡來調控及維繫生物個體正常的運作。此種細胞活動不只在生物體正常情形下是如此;甚至在個體面臨病理狀態下亦復如此。當個體免疫反應面臨細菌及其代謝產物侵犯吾人牙周組織時,細胞凋亡機制亦扮演了重要的調控角色。本文謹就近年來發表的有關文獻針對細胞凋亡之定義、特徵、誘發因子、細胞凋亡的機制及調節、吞噬細胞如何辨識凋亡細胞的訊號及細胞凋亡與牙周疾病之關係,做一文獻回顧之整理。

Apoptosis is an important mechanism in maintaining the biological process of organism. Living creatures maintain and regulate the biological activities via programmed cell death not only in normal biological condition but also in pathological situation. Apoptosis plays an important regulatory role in the immune response of periodontium against invasion from microbial pathogens or their metabolites. This article will summarize the correlated documents published within past few years concerning the definition, characters, inducing factors, mechanism and regulation of apoptosis, as well as the signal recognition on apoptotic cell surface by phagocyte. Furthermore, the correlation between apoptosis and periodontitis will be discussed.
