A Literature Review in the Etiology, Mechanism and Clinical Management of Dentin Hypersensitivity

Dentin hypersensitivity is a popular problem in clinic. The typical clinical outcome is the pain sensation induced by chemical, physical structural or osmotic stimulation. From past articles, the observation of the anatomical morphology of tooth indicated there were different mechanisms in causing dentin hypersensitivity. There were many different approaches in resolving this clinical situation. In this article, the ideology, mechanism and management. etc. will be comprehensively illustrated.
