摘要

牙齦增生所表現的是對於各種局部或是系統性刺激的過度反應，最常見的原因是向於局部因子的慢性刺激，例如牙結石或牙菌斑所造成。而荷爾蒙的改變與特殊藥物的影響也會導致牙齦結締組織的變化。服用抗高血壓用藥尼菲迪平便有引發牙齦增生的副作用，本文將針對其藥物特性與牙齦組織相關性之間做一系列相關性的文獻回顧，並試圖透過我們所研究nifedipine對免疫調節(Th1/Th2)與藥物動力學的回溯來討論與推測致病機轉的可能性。

Gingival overgrowth is an expression of over reaction to different kinds of local or systematic stimulations. The most frequently occurrences are slow stimulation caused by local factors such as calculus or plaques. Change of hormone or some specific medication may cause transformation of gingival connective tissue. An example as taking hypertension drugs like nifedipine may cause side effect as gingival overgrowth. This paper will focus on related literature reviews of the correlation between drug characteristic and gingival tissue. The cause of disease will also been clarified by our previous study which delineate the effect of nifedipine on immunological regulation (Th1/Th2) and its pharmacokinetics.
