Solitary rectal ulcer syndrome is an uncommon benign disorder involving the rectum .This syndrome usually affects the area 4~18cm away from the anal verge(anterior aspect). We report a 52 year-old woman with solitary rectal ulver syndrome who was treated successfully with conservative methods. Because of the similarities in the presentation of this and other rectal diseases, this syndrome is easily overlooked. The definite diagnosis is made by pathology. The initial treatment should be conservative, and surgical intervention should undertaken if conservative measures fail.
