摘要

唐代三省六部官僚體系中的吏部，執掌全國官吏的選授、勳封和考課。其中，唐代前期考功員外郎原掌天下貢舉之職，惟唐玄宗開元二十四年，由於李昂知貢舉造成選舉糾紛，於是此後改由禮部侍郎主持。由此可知，唐代前期考功員外郎在貢舉機器運轉中的重要角色。本計畫試圖以唐代前期考功員外郎的制度與人事為例，探討曾經擔任此官職者的出身背景及其升遷途徑，並進一步藉由其知貢舉時的作風與表現，以瞭解唐代前期貢舉考試的運作狀況，是否達成選拔人才、促進社會流動？抑或是由於唐代前期仍是門閥社會的遺緒，故社會流動現象不明顯？

This project I will attemt through the systems and personnel matters of ”Kao-Gong-Yuan-Wai-Lang” to confer their family background and promote ways during the Pre-Tang Dynasty. Further, I will try to through the styles and behaviors of the Zhi-Gong-Ju, to find out whether through the procession of the examination can accomplish the talent's selection, or promotion the social mobility? Or it still remains the family of power and influence, therefore, the promotion of social mobility is not obvious?
