Vocational Status and Career Plan of Nursing Graduates

摘要

本研究主要目的為瞭解82年度護理科系畢業生之就業現況、從事護理之意願及選擇職業時考慮的因素、及生涯計畫。作者自30所學校82年的護理畢業生名册中抽出1/3為樣本，共計3379人。以郵寄結構式問卷收集資料，結果回收有效問卷1601份（回收率47.38％）。結果顯示，90％的研究樣本已獲得護理人員職業證書，領證者從事護理工作的比率為55.6％，專科及大學畢業生是75％～85％，高職生則只有22.5％。研究樣本選擇職業時考慮的因素最重要的前三位是(1)工作伙伴之友誼；(2)受人尊敬的程度；及(3)增進技能的機會。多數研究樣本希望將來成為職業婦女且有家庭，其生涯計畫因學制不同而略有不同。高職及專科組較多數傾向於擁有自己的事業，但懷孕後能暫時中断；而大學及專科後學士組較多數認為要有自己的事業，同時結婚生子。大多數研究樣本表示計畫在未來五年再進修學位。

The purpose of the study is to understand the vocational status, career commitment and career plan of nursing graduates who graduated in 1993. Three thousand and seventy nine subjects were drawn, by random sampling, from all nursing graduates who graduated in 1993. The structured questionnaire was utilized for data collection. One thousand six hundred and one valid questionnaires were mailed back (return rate 47.38%). The results show that 90.0% of the subjects have obtained a nursing license. Their active (working) rates are: 55.6% for the total, 75.0-85.0% for those with an Associate or B.S.degree; 22.5% for those who graduated from vocational high schools. For the subjects, when they select an occupation, the most important aspects of work were: 'friendliness of the people you work with', 'the respect you will receive' and 'the opportunities to develop your skills and abilities'. Most of the subjects plan to have their career and also get married. The subjects' career plans varied with their educational levels. Most of the vocational high school graduates and college graduates plan to have a career, but the career may be interrupted by pregnancy and childcare. Most of the B.S graduates plan to have a career as well as a marriage and children. Most of the subjects plan to seek a higher degree in the subsequent five years.
