The study used qualitative approach to explore factors with influence medical students' career choices. For the study, we interviewed 6 medical students and found that the process of making career choices is very complex. A student's interest is the most important personal factors, with professional knowledge, interactions with patients, treatment techniques, competence, and personality also playing important roles. As to environmental factors, the character of specific teaching courses, teachers, sex roles, market needs, and career development are important to individuals. Career choices are very important to medical students, and finding ways to help them make suitable, specific choices is very important work.
