Objective: This report presents the counseling process of a patient with panic and depression disorder using the technique of Rational-Emotive Behavior Therapy (REBT). Case report: A 38 year-old man had suffered from a panic disorder and depression, from his self-report. The client voluntarily visited the community mental health center for counseling, for a total counseling course of eight times. Each session took 50-60 minutes. During the counseling process, the counselor used the following techniques: listening, empathy, questioning, emotional support, providing information, and giving homework. In the final session, the client emerged with a new life view, feeling happy, and with a lightening of his depressive mood. Conclusion: We believe that the strength of REBT is its clear procedure and the most important point is that emotional consequences are largely created by the individual's belief system.
