摘要

目的：評估乳癌患者照顧者之健康內外控對其生活品質之影響。方法：橫斷式研究設計，收案對象為初發18個月內之0-3期乳癌患者之配偶照顧者，共39位，採自陳式填寫健康內外控及生活品質自陳式量表。結果：照顧者的健康內控與生活品質中的生理健康、社會關係，及環境範疇呈正相關，而健康外控與生活品質中的心理、社會關係，及環境範疇呈負相關。結論：由結果發現健康內外控對生活品質有多方面的影響。瞭解健康內外控之影響力，可協助醫療人員提升照顧者的生活品質及照顧的能力，並間接讓患者得到更好的照顧。

Background: The goal of this study was to examine the effects of health locus of control on the quality of life in spousal caregivers of breast cancer patients. Method: A cross-sectional design was used to study 39 primary caregiving and cohabitants of non-advanced breast cancer patients, diagnosed within an 18-month period. The Chinese version of the Health Locus of Control (HLOC) scale was used to evaluate the health locus of control and the World Health Organization Questionnaire on Quality of Life: BREF-Taiwan version (WHOQOL-BREF-TAIWAN) was used to assess quality of life. Result: The perception of internal HLOC was significantly and positively correlated with the physical health, social relationship, and environmental domains of quality of life. On the other hand, the perception of an external HLOC was significantly and negatively correlated with psychological, social relationship, and environmental domains of quality of life as assessed by WHOQOL-BREF-TAIWAN. Conclusion: The results of this study suggest that HLOC may impact on several aspects of quality of life in caregivers. Understanding the correlation between these two fundamentals may assist health professionals to improve the psychological and emotional health of caregivers, and, thereby, the ability to care for both their charges and themselves.
