The research investigates the factors influencing users' intention to continuously adopt information systems. A continuous usage intention model is constructed using internet blackboard and portal site as sample systems; cross model validation is done to test for multi-group differences between samples. Research findings in cross sample validation show that when either the calibration sample or validation sample is used in the baseline model, both models have cross sample properties, indicating that the model can be applied to different information systems. Constructs in the model include confirmation, satisfaction, perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use (as predictors of continuous adopting intention). Confirmation is observed to have a positive effect on perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use; and although confirmation is found to indirectly affect satisfaction through perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use, it has no direct effect on satisfaction. Perceived ease of use has a positive effect on perceived usefulness, while perceived usefulness has been found to influence satisfaction. Although perceived usefulness has no direct effect on continuous usage intention, it has an indirect effect through satisfaction. Satisfaction plays a major role in predicting user's continuous usage intention.
