Hitting Accuracy Grey Evaluation Method for Weapon System in Small-Sample Case

The circular error probability (CEP) of weapon's hitting accuracy is a significant technical standard. However, it's usually difficult to gain the CEP in small-sample case considering the high costs and low efficiency in weapon tests. Therefore, this paper strives toward a new method to estimate the hitting accuracy of weapon system based on fuzzy theory and grey system theory. The main idea of this method is to process the original data sequence by introducing the membership degree and develop the grey nonlinear regression model to make the estimation. This method seems to provide an easy access to assess CEP and may have potential applications in military use.
