Application of Grey Relational Grade for Analysis of the Weighting of Economic Growth and Industrial Structure in Foreign Trade -Based on the Statistical Data of Guangdong Province

When it comes to the comprehensive strength of a country, its economic situation is the base, and the part of foreign trade is of great importance. Guangdong Province is an important trade province in China. Based on the statistical data of foreign trade, industrial structure and economic growth in Guangdong Province from year 1987 to year 2014, this paper expounds the status quo of these aspects, respectively. Using quantitative grey relational grade, which is put forward by Wen, this paper analyzes the relation between foreign trade and industrial structure, and the relation between foreign trade and economic growth, for instance, the relation among primary industry product and values of trade (value of exports and value of imports). And it concludes that quantitative grey relational grade between gross domestic product and value of exports is larger than that between gross domestic product and value of imports, the same conclusions are drawn for secondary industry product, tertiary industry product and value of exports and imports, but for primary industry product, it is the opposite, namely, the influence of value of imports is more important than that of value of exports. At last, according to the above conclusions, this paper provides some useful advice on how to increase the three industries product and to boost the economic development of Guangdong Province.
