Thispaper aims to discuss the important Confucian scholar Liang Shuming's theory of life and its implications foreducation of environmental ethics. The authors analyze the concepts of Liang's theory of life and the relationship between daily life (生活), life (生命), culture and will (意欲) to clarify the content of histheory of life. Then the authorsdiscussLiang's book "Heart and Life" andreveal the meaning of the relationship between the human andnature, andbetween the heaven and the human. The authors finally conclude with the suggestions for teaching environmental ethics with the inspirations of Liang Shuming's view of the heaven-human relationship.
